The Divjaka-2 photovoltaic (PV) project is a utility-scale solar power installation developed in the Karavasta e Re area, within the Municipality of Divjakë, Fier Region, Albania. The project has been designed in accordance with Albanian regulatory requirements for renewable energy generation and grid integration, contributing to national targets for increasing the share of clean energy.
The primary objective of the project is to harness the high solar irradiation potential of the region to produce sustainable electricity and supply it to the national grid. Solar resource assessment and energy yield modeling were performed using Meteonorm 8.0 data, ensuring reliable long-term production estimates and optimization of system performance.
Technically, the plant has an installed capacity of approximately 2.075 MWp (DC) and 2.0 MW (AC), with an expected annual energy production of around 3,040 MWh. The system utilizes high-efficiency monocrystalline PV modules (RECOM 680 W) arranged in optimized strings and mounted on fixed-tilt galvanized steel structures. The layout has been designed with a row spacing of approximately 8 meters to minimize shading losses and optimize land use efficiency.
The electrical configuration includes string combiners, DC cabling, and 16 Sungrow SG125-HV inverters connected to the medium-voltage grid through underground cable infrastructure. The project incorporates advanced monitoring, control, and security systems, including remote supervision, CCTV, and perimeter protection.
The site covers approximately 22,400 m² and is characterized by flat terrain, enabling efficient installation and minimal earthworks. Environmental considerations include reduced emissions, minimal noise impact, and sustainable land use.
The construction methodology involves modular installation of mounting structures, panel arrays, and electrical systems, ensuring efficient deployment and scalability. Over its operational lifecycle, the plant is expected to provide stable renewable energy output with minimal maintenance requirements and gradual performance degradation accounted for in system design.
