The Era Solar project consists of the development and grid integration of a utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) power plant in Albania, designed to contribute to the diversification of the national energy mix and support renewable energy targets in line with Albanian energy legislation and EU directives.
The project involves the construction of a ground-mounted solar PV installation connected to the medium-voltage distribution network. The plant is designed to comply with Albanian grid code requirements and relevant regulatory approvals, including environmental permitting and grid connection authorization.
The facility incorporates high-efficiency monocrystalline photovoltaic modules installed on fixed-tilt mounting structures optimized for site-specific solar irradiation conditions. Power conversion is achieved through centralized inverter systems, ensuring efficient DC to AC conversion and stable grid interaction. The generated electricity is evacuated via an اختصاص medium-voltage connection line to the nearest substation.
The site is characterized by relatively flat terrain, suitable for large-scale PV deployment with minimal earthworks. The design includes internal access roads, drainage systems, and perimeter fencing to ensure operational safety and durability. Environmental considerations include minimal land disturbance, vegetation management, and adherence to environmental impact mitigation measures.
Construction is planned using modular installation techniques to optimize timeline and cost efficiency. The plant is expected to operate with minimal maintenance requirements over a projected lifecycle of 25–30 years, ensuring long-term renewable energy production and contribution to national sustainability goals.
