The PVPP Fortis Ngurrez project consists of the design and planned construction of a large-scale grid-connected photovoltaic power plant with an installed capacity of approximately 51.6 MWp. The project is located in Ngurrez village, within the Lushnje Municipality of Fier Region, an area characterized by favorable solar irradiation and flat terrain, making it highly suitable for photovoltaic development.
The project has been developed in accordance with Albanian regulatory requirements and European technical standards, contributing to national renewable energy targets and enhancing energy security. The study includes detailed technical, environmental, and financial assessments to ensure project feasibility and long-term sustainability.
The photovoltaic system is based on high-efficiency monocrystalline modules (Trina Solar TSM-DEG21C-20-665Wp), arranged in optimized strings and mounted on single-axis tracking structures to maximize solar capture. The total DC installed capacity is 51.6 MWp, while the AC capacity reaches approximately 46.2 MW, achieved through the deployment of 42 Sungrow SG1100 inverters.
The plant occupies an area of approximately 500,000 m², with an optimized ground coverage ratio to balance land use and minimize shading losses. Electrical infrastructure includes DC and AC underground cabling systems designed according to IEC standards, string boxes with surge protection, and connection to the medium-voltage and transmission network.
Advanced monitoring and security systems are integrated, including perimeter fencing, CCTV surveillance, and remote monitoring via GSM and internet-based systems. Environmental considerations include controlled land use, minimal ecological disturbance, and provisions for site rehabilitation.
The plant is designed for a lifecycle exceeding 25 years, with performance degradation and maintenance strategies incorporated into the energy yield assessment, ensuring stable and efficient operation over time.
