HPP Kodrishta is a proposed 1.30 MW run-of-river hydropower project located on the Dishnica Stream, a tributary of the Vjosa River, near Katundisht village in the Këlcyrë Municipality, southern Albania. The project combines renewable electricity generation with the rehabilitation and utilization of existing hydraulic infrastructure, including an irrigation intake and water conveyance canal serving the surrounding agricultural area.
The hydropower scheme is designed for a discharge of 5.50 m³/s, with a gross hydraulic head of 29.30 m and a net head of approximately 28.67 m. Its main infrastructure comprises the reconstruction of an existing water intake weir, sediment management facilities, an approximately 2.5 km rehabilitated diversion canal, a pressure basin, and a 180 m steel penstock conveying water to the downstream powerhouse. The powerhouse is designed to accommodate two Francis turbine-generator units rated at 650 kW each, providing a combined installed capacity of 1.30 MW and an estimated annual electricity generation of approximately 3.85 GWh.
The project has been developed through a technical and hydropower feasibility study covering hydrological assessments, hydraulic infrastructure, energy production, preliminary engineering and technical-economic optimization. An important feature of the proposed scheme is the integration of hydropower generation with the rehabilitation of existing irrigation infrastructure, intended to support the agricultural water supply in the surrounding area.
